It is Ecoscapes objective to combine landscape design and environmental management principles to achieve sustainable outcomes that are aesthetically pleasing, creative and functional. Over the past 11 years, Ecoscapes has delivered quality landscapes that dare to be different and are environmentally responsible in material selection and design. In 2008, AA & IA Ecoscapes became the first business in Australia to undergo and pass the Sustainable Gardening Australia (SGA) Environmentally Certified Landscape Industry Professionals (ECLIPs) program.
“In order to achieve this certification, Ecoscapes is required to design, construct and maintain landscapes that:
- Minimise water use
- Minimise chemical use
- Enhance biodiversity
- Compliment natural systems
- Minimise invasive plants
To maintain this certification ecoscapes is required to Undertake SGA Industry Training for all permanent full-time and part-time members of staff.
Conduct our business according to the ECLIPs Membership Charter making amendments to our current business practices where necessary.
Commit to ongoing compulsory Professional Development in the area of sustainability and landscaping to ensure that our business and our staff are up to date with the latest practices and products. Non-SGA training is recognised where appropriate.
